The Maitre entry is unusual in the archive for having generated four independent secondary accounts that agree on almost nothing beyond a name and a general reputation for hostility. Santori’s Alien Races Book (2011) places their origin in an unnamed “Megopei” constellation, describes them as human-height with a V-shaped face, and credits them with 26 colonized planets and roughly 5,000 abducted humans — all without citing how this information was obtained. It also records, without attribution, a warning attributed to unnamed other alien races that “there is much worse than the race Maitre,” suggesting the Maitre may occupy a mid-tier of hostility in a wider unnamed hierarchy of threats.

A second source, SSP veteran John Whitberg, gives an entirely different profile: he calls them Maytra, identifies them as “the archetypical ‘Small Greys,'” places their origin in the Betelgeuse system, and states they maintain a hive mind, operate as major players in a galactic slave trade, and eat human flesh as a delicacy. None of this overlaps meaningfully with the ARB’s account beyond the general theme of predation.

A third source, contactee-author Elena Danaan, gives them an Andromeda Galaxy origin on two planets she calls “Magopei” — textually close to Santori’s “Megopei” but located in an entirely different galaxy rather than a stellar constellation. She adds physical detail absent from the ARB (elongated skull, long slim neck), confirms the hermaphroditic reproduction and roughly 120-year lifespan found elsewhere, and describes their spacecraft and an inverted-triangle insignia not mentioned by any other source.

A fourth source, SSP veteran Penny Bradley, breaks from the colonization narrative entirely. She describes the Maitre as invading destroyers from the Andromeda Galaxy who “have destroyed every world they have had contact with,” gaunt and perpetually starving despite eating “everything except Greys,” and locked in an old conflict with the Draco and Orion Empires, who she says combined forces to halt their advance into the Milky Way — a conflict she claims personal involvement in.

Beneath all four modern accounts sits the archive’s own older Maitre material, apparently a rough translation of Russian-language source text, which is the origin of the specific figures most frequently repeated: the Large and Small home planets, the two-million/forty-million and millions/twenty-million population-to-slave ratios, the hormone-reactive obedience implants, the roughly 200 visits with a last visit near September 2006, and the account of a conflict with an unnamed race referred to only as “no one” or “nobody” in the garbled translation. This material’s ultimate source is not identified and its numbers cannot be independently verified, but it long predates any recent correction pass and is treated here as legacy archive content rather than newly invented material.

Classification Correction: This entry previously carried a precise, uniform biometric profile — 2.0–2.5 m height, 65–80 kg weight, 102.5°F body temperature, 110 BPM pulse, 160/100 blood pressure — along with named abilities (“Neural Overload,” “Invisibility Cloaking”), named subspecies (“Soldier Caste,” “High Hegemony”), a named scout classification (“Slinker Scout”), a species tier (“Level IV – Regressive Imperialists”), and a precise distance of 120 light-years. None of this appears in any of the four sourced accounts, all of which either give no physical description or actively contradict one another and the removed figures. All of it has been removed and replaced with “Undocumented” or, where sources conflict, presented as competing claims rather than a false single profile.
Source Chain Assessment: Four accounts exist for the Maitre, and they were plainly assembled independently — the ARB, Whitberg, Danaan, and Bradley each supply details absent from the others and in several cases directly contradictory (origin star system, height, temperament, even whether they colonize at all).
