The source says it plainly: no description exists. This dossier shows exactly that.
THINK ABOUTIT’S ALIEN TYPE SUMMARY
Mythilae
Santori’s Alien Races Book is unambiguous about the Mythilae: “there is no description provided about them.” No height, no skin tone, no eyes — nothing survives that direct statement except one documented fact, that they were once related to the “Reptoid” species but are explicitly not Reptilians themselves. What the sources do document — an organic breathing mask, a diet of vegetal matter and crushed minerals, vertically-shaped ships, and a hidden base on the far side of Earth’s Moon — is stranger, and quieter, than the tall pearlescent diplomat this page once described.
Name: Mythilae (also referred to as Unukh, Mythilae Unukh, or Mythilae Unukhi)
AKA: Unukh; Mythilae Unukh; Mythilae Unukhi
Location – Home System: The Serpens constellation, near the star Alya (also known as Theta Serpentis A). No specific home planet or binary star configuration is documented in either source; the “Theta-1/Theta-2 Serpentis binary” detail previously presented here does not appear anywhere in the source material.
Distance from Earth: Undocumented — neither source gives a specific distance
Attitude: Not considered a threat to humans, per the primary source, though how this assessment was reached is not explained. A second source adds that the Mythilae currently respect “the rules of non-intervention.”
Motives: Their reason for visiting Earth is unknown, per the primary source. A second source adds that they are in the process of joining the Galactic Federation of Worlds, but specifically states they are not interested in taking part in its operations for “Terran liberation.”
Physical Appearance: No physical description whatsoever is given in the primary source, which states plainly that none is available. The only characteristic documented anywhere is that the Mythilae were once related to the “Reptoid” species, while being explicitly stated not to be Reptilians themselves. Nothing in either source supports the tall, pearlescent-skinned, slit-eyed profile previously presented on this page.

- Life Expectancy: Undocumented
- Hair: Undocumented
- Skin: Undocumented
- Eyes: Undocumented
- Sex: Undocumented
Other Physical Information: Undocumented
Special Traits and Abilities: Undocumented
Communication Type: Undocumented
Origin: Serpens constellation; near the star Alya (Theta Serpentis A)
Life Form Type: Once related to the “Reptoid” species, but explicitly stated not to be Reptilians; no further classification is given
Subspecies: None documented
Most Common Species: Undocumented
Level of Species: Undocumented
Habits: Hover over Earth’s polar regions and are reported to occasionally land to take samples, though no specific example is given. They reportedly do not breathe Earth’s air and use a specialized organic mask. Their diet is described as consisting of vegetal matter and crushed minerals, particularly carbon.
Transportation Type: Described only as having “a vertical shape,” with no dimensions or further detail given — not the sleek, silver disc-shaped craft previously described on this page
Witnesses Reports: First recorded visit dated to June 13, 1965; most recently reported sighting May 1, 1997. Neither event is accompanied by a named witness or specific location beyond a general association with Antarctica.
Special Features/Characteristics: Maintain a base on the hidden (far) side of Earth’s Moon, per the primary source — a detail entirely absent from the previous version of this page. Their homeworld is described as dark, cold, and damp, and they are said to be well suited to very cold temperatures, which may account for their association with Antarctica.
Summary/Description: The Mythilae are a minimally documented species first recorded visiting Earth on June 13, 1965, and most recently reported on May 1, 1997, generally associated with Antarctica. The primary source explicitly states no physical description of them is available, noting only that they were once related to the “Reptoid” species without being Reptilians themselves. A second source adds that they do not breathe Earth’s air, feed on vegetal matter and crushed minerals, come from a dark, cold, damp world, use vertically-shaped ships, and maintain a hidden base on the far side of Earth’s Moon. Their reason for visiting Earth remains unknown, though they are considered non-threatening and reportedly observe a policy of non-intervention.

DETAILED REPORT
Santori’s Alien Races Book places the Mythilae in the Serpens constellation, near the star Alya, also known as Theta Serpentis A — Serpens itself translating simply as “serpent” or “snake.” The ARB is explicit that no physical description of the Mythilae is available, offering only that they were once related to the “Reptoid” species while stating clearly that they are not Reptilians. The reason for their visits to Earth is described as unknown, and while they are not considered a threat to humans, the ARB does not explain how this determination was made. The ARB dates their first recorded visit to June 13, 1965 — notably recent compared to other species documented in this archive — with their most recent reported sighting placed on May 1, 1997. They are usually associated with Antarctica, and the ARB adds, without further detail, that they maintain a base on the hidden side of Earth’s Moon.
A second source, contactee-author Elena Danaan, repeats much of the ARB’s material without crediting Santori, but supplies several additional details. She states that the Mythilae “feed upon vegetal and crushed minerals, especially carbon,” that they do not breathe Earth’s atmosphere and instead use “a special organic mask,” and that their homeworld is “dark, cold and damp,” to which they are well adapted. She adds that they hover over Earth’s polar regions and occasionally land to take samples, without giving a specific example, and states that they currently observe “the rules of non-intervention.” She further reports that the Mythilae are in the process of joining the Galactic Federation of Worlds, while specifically noting they have no interest in participating in that body’s operations toward “Terran liberation.” She describes their ships only as having “a vertical shape,” giving no dimensions.
No named human witness, sighting report beyond the two dates given, or documentary evidence is offered by either source.
RESEARCHER’S NOTES
The Mythilae — A Species the Source Itself Says Cannot Be Described
- Classification Correction: This entry previously carried a full biometric panel (2.0–2.3 m height, precise weight, body temperature, pulse, and blood pressure figures), a named home planet (“Alya-3”), an invented Theta Serpentis binary orbital period, named subspecies, a species tier (“Level IV”), and a detailed “sleek silver disc-shaped” craft with named propulsion technology. None of this appears in either source — the primary source states outright that no description of the Mythilae exists. All fabricated detail has been removed and replaced with “Undocumented,” and the ship description has been corrected to match the source’s actual, far sparser claim.
- Source Chain Assessment: The ARB provides dates, a general location, and a single lineage note (once related to Reptoids, but not Reptilian) with no physical description at all. Danaan’s account repeats this material largely uncredited but adds genuinely new detail — diet, breathing apparatus, homeworld climate, and ship shape — none of which resembles the previously fabricated profile. Neither source should be treated as more than a thin, unverified secondary compilation.
- Pattern Context / Comparative Cases: This entry is one of the clearest examples in this archive of a source explicitly declining to describe a species’ appearance, only for a later, unsupported elaboration to invent one anyway (compare: Magell, which carries a similar explicit “no description provided” statement in its own primary source). The correct response in both cases is the same: leave the field “Undocumented” rather than filling the gap.
- Physical Evidence / Evidentiary Weight: No named witness, photograph, or document supports either the 1965 first-contact date, the 1997 sighting, or the claimed lunar base. All rest entirely on the ARB’s uncorroborated assertion.
What can honestly be said about the Mythilae is unusually clear about its own limits: a species whose only named source states plainly that it cannot be physically described, tied to two specific but undetailed dates, a reptoid-adjacent-but-not-reptilian lineage note, and a handful of stranger details — an organic breathing mask, a mineral diet, a hidden lunar base — that a later, unsupported elaboration replaced with an invented humanoid diplomat.
Elena Danaan states that the Mythilae “feed upon vegetal and crushed minerals, especially carbon.”
