It was presented as a “Tall Grey” variant, complete with a full Grey-archetype biometric panel. The only source that offers any physical description at all, Elena Danaan’s A Gift from the Stars, describes something categorically different: a tall reptilian species, with slender eyes, a long thin ridge where a nose would be, a robust build, and four long, clawed fingers. Nothing in either source consulted supports a Grey classification.

The claim of a Horologium origin, an alliance with the Maitre, and a reported reputation for violence among “other races” all trace to Santori’s 2011 Alien Race Book, as does the specific and unusual claim that the Jighantik maintain contact with three unnamed Earth governments while deliberately avoiding the United States, Russia, and China. The source does not explain how this is known. The same source places their most recent reported sighting on 1 February 2003, near Houston, Texas — a specific date and location, offered without any description of what was actually observed.

Danaan’s account adds that the Jighantik occupy a six-planet system within Horologium, exploiting five of those planets for mineral and gas resources, and that their discoidal, brown-metal craft are reportedly capable of interdimensional and time travel. She also states that while the Jighantik do abduct humans, they do not consume them — a detail she distinguishes from other reptilian factions elsewhere in her account, and specific enough to be worth preserving even within an otherwise thin record.

The Grey That Wasn’t — Reclassifying the Jighantik as Reptilian

Classification Corrected: The prior version of this page filed the Jighantik as a Grey Type Alien variant. The only physical description in sourcing — Danaan’s — is explicit and unambiguous: they are reptilian. This page now reflects that.
Fabricated Data Removed: A full biometric panel including a 10-foot average height, two named subspecies, a “Level III” classification, a bio-acoustic paralysis weapon, and a “Telepathic Overload” attack were all invented. None appear in either cited source.
An Invented Incident, Removed: The previous version described a detailed 1982 skirmish involving a militia and a telepathic mass-unconsciousness event. No such incident appears in Santori’s ARB, Danaan’s account, or Muller’s cross-reference. It has been removed in full.
A Real Sighting, Replaced with a Fake One: The only dated, located sighting in sourcing is 1 February 2003 near Houston, Texas — with no description of what occurred. The prior version replaced this specific, real citation with vague, unsupported “Southeast Asia and Central Africa” claims.
